Full Moon--Blue Moon at 7 Degrees Aquarius on July 31, 2015
The Auspicious Blue Moon, Leo/Aquarius:
First of all, what IS a “Blue Moon”?
A Blue Moon is when a Full Moon occurs twice in the same month.
Blue moons are considered an auspicious, lucky energy! They tend to help us manifest abundance in whichever houses they touch. The last Blue Moon which occurred was on August 2, 2012 (Leo/Aquarius) and August 31, 2012 (Virgo/Pisces).
The Blue moon on Friday July 31st is not too far away from the Blue
Moon which occurred back on August 2, 2012. It would be good to take note as to what was going on in
your life in August of 2012 to get an idea of the echo of energy you will be
experiencing from this full moon.
What was going on for you in August of 2012?
Our first full moon this month was on July 2nd (Cancer/Capricorn or comfort vs. status). This year’s Blue Moon occurs on Friday, July 31, 2015 (Leo/Aquarius or ego/heart vs. intellect/mind).
The Full Moon in Aquarius is asking us to be our true selves,
as individuals, regardless of what we feel our role in society is. The Sun in Leo is asking us to be true to our
hearts, to pursue our bigger dreams, with dignity and self-confidence. However, we need to find a balance between what our hearts want and need, and what our higher minds and greater intellect know to be true. This could be a burst of creative, positive inventive energy.
The Full Moon is exact at 6:43 am EDT, and less than four hours
later, Venus retrogrades back into Leo.
Overall and in general, the focus is
clearly on romance and fun again: How to make our relationships fun, and getting in
touch with how we treat and value ourselves as individuals. Aquarius always asks us to be true to ourselves, even if it goes against society's norms, but Leo wants us to lead with our hearts.
