The New Moon in Libra takes place on Monday October 12, 2015 at 8:06 pm ET.

New Moons are that time when you get to hit the "reset" button and start again.  They are great starting points and beginnings.  In Libra, it is especially good for starting new relationships, or starting over again in an existing relationship.

This new moon is going to be opposite Uranus, which means we are looking to balance fairness in our important relationships with our need to be our eccentric, individual selves.  We all want to be able to "play well with others" without sacrificing our own unique identity.

Libra, the sign of balance and relationships will be at 19 degrees.  According to the Sabian Symbols, this degree of Libra is about accessing old wisdom to deal with one's situation. "Connection with ancient sources of truth and understanding. Faith in abiding laws. Inherited wisdom."

With Saturn in Sagittarius in Libra's home of the 7th house, beware of "dogmatism" and just "following the book" when dealing with relationships with others.  One may need to use traditional measures to bring about progressive change.  However, it's not a time to follow the rules blindly, but to question the rules, and initiate change in order to build better structures and boundaries. The keyword is "balance".

The theme with Libra, Venus, and the 7th house is still focused on relationships and romance, but this new moon is also about tolerance of others, fairness, balance, and justice.  This new moon can help you make any of your interpersonal relationships work: business, interpersonal, romantic, etc., but it will have to be done in a way that doesn't force you to sacrifice yourself.

Mars will be conjuncting Jupiter on October 15th.  Jupiter/Mars conjunctions only happen once every two years.  The energy is optimistic, energetic, and enthusiastic.  We have the energy to focus on the details, and how those details influence the big picture.  Sagittarians, Aries, and Pisceans may find it easier to focus on, and organize, the details to make their visions and dreams tangible.

Mars and Jupiter will also be working in harmony with Pluto on October 15th, which means the Universe is trying to make it easier for us to transform, break down structures that don't work for us, and understand the details necessary to build new ones.
